Here's his history...
This here is Adam Isaiah Bogg. He's been living on this earth for eighteen years now, and has a history he'd love to share with you...
Adam's mom, Sarah Elizabeth Bader Bogg, was born into a very religious family. She grew up a good girl, a preacher's daughter, a deacon/policeman's neice, an elder/cobler's granddaughter, an english teacher's daughter, a flourist's neice, an author/saleswoman's grandaughter. She was surrounded by love with her grandparents, aunt and uncle, parents, two older brothers, younger sister, and two cousins (both older girls). She grew up a happy and sweet girl. Then, as her freshman year approached, she got an acceptance letter from a very prestigious boarding school in North Carolina. Her parents decided to let her go, knowing she was a good girl and was capable of keeping up with her school work and Christianity, even at the mere age of fourteen. Something terrible happened, though, when she was eighteen and just two months away from graduating high school... She was at a dinner with some friends when they headed out to the car, and Sarah was going to pay. She was walking to her car when someone grabbed her and the next thing she knew, she was waking up the next day in a stranger's bed, with a strange man next to her. The worst ran through her mind...
The worst had happened. It turned out the man's name was Simon Lucas Bogg. A friend of his had grabbed her and was giving her as a "gift" for his bachelor party. Unfortunately, his bride-to-be found out about his raving antics and broke off the engagement. Sarah, unsure of what to do, had called her parents, who had immediately flown in. In the end, Sarah had gotten pregnant with a baby boy, and she and Simon were married after her graduation from high school. They'd gotten to know each other, though, and both truly believed they were now in love.
Simon Lucas Bogg was the typical American kid. He was an only child, his dad a dentist, his mom a nurse. He had one grandfather still alive and well, taking care of his wife, Simon's grandmother, as she lived in the nursing home. His other grandparents had died when he was just three. Simon grew up with a mix of grades, both academic and citizenship. He was never the brightest, never the laziest, never the over-achiever, but always with a smile. He fell in love with Lauren Sylvia Newman when he was fifteen, and they starting dating two years later. They went off to different colleges, though, but stayed very close. At the age of twenty, he proposed, and they were set to marry a year later. Unfortunately, his best friend Robby had given him quite the bachelor party and things had gotten out of hand. However, when Lauren called it off, Simon strangely felt more relieved than anything else, and realized he didn't harbor the same feelings for her that he had six years before. The day after his party, he woke up with a random girl at the foot of his bed, on the phone, crying quietly. He hadn't known what to do, but he soon found out she had been some girl Robby had picked out and he'd felt horrible. He was with her through the process of getting checked and finding out that she was to have his baby. He was shocked. After all, he was only twenty-one, and the girl, Sarah, was only eighteen! She wasn't even out of high school yet! And, to boot, the daughter of a preacher! However, he fell for her through everything, and they were marred after she graduated from high school.
Things started to get bad towards the end of Sarah's pregnancy. She was getting really sick, and Simon was getting really stressed. Luckily, Sarah had her mom there to help them get through it, and things were okay for a while. But, when little Adam turned two, Sarah's mom went back to Hawaii officially. She would no longer be just a few minutes away. Sarah had talked to Simon about moving to Hawaii. It was where she had grown up, where she had planned to go back to all along. Simon had strung her along, though. He hadn't done it intentionally, but he'd known they couldn't afford to buy another place of their own if they moved, and he was too stressed at work that when he got home, he was never in the mood to really talk about anything. So, Sarah went on looking after her husband and son, the happy little homemaker.
When Adam was three, though, she had enrolled him in a local Christian preschool, against Simon's wishes. This way, though, Sarah could start taking classes to get her english education degree. She had taken a few onlline hours before, but this made it so much easier, and her father sent her money to pay for the classes, so Simon didn't have to worry about the money. When Adam turned five, he was off to kindergarten, and Sarah had even more time to herself.
Adam grew up a somewhat happy child. He grew up knowing that every Sunday his mother would take him to church. At first, daddy came, too. But as he got older, he came less and less until he wasn't attending at all. Adam had a strong sense of right and wrong as he grew up. He'd developed a very protective personality. He was protective of his mother, he was protective of all the nerds and geeks at school, he was protective of all the kids who got bullied, he was every girl's best friend because they all wanted even more, but he was smart to very careful about when he gave his love and when he held it back.
Adam's mom had started working at schools when he was seven, and had gained a full-time teaching position when he was nine. His father, however, continued to grow more and more stressful each day and took up smoking and eventually began to get lazier and lazier. Many times, Adam had silently wished that he and his mom could get away from the situation, but he knew that God had them there for a reason. When Adam was fifteen, almost sixteen, his father was diagnosed with lung cancer and wasn't given much time to live. In the next two years, with the love of his wife and son, Adam's dad grew into a very sweet man, knowing that his life could be taken from him any minute. This past fall, Adam's father was taken from the earth, a happy and ready man. What would've been a relief just a few years ago, was now a great sorrow.
Adam and his mom decided to move to Hawaii where she was from to live with her family, once his first semester at college was over.
So, here is Adam Isaiah Bogg. His mother works as an english teacher, and he's gained, with his life-long love of swimming, a position as a children's swimming instructor (is that okay?). He wants to be a high school coach one day, so he's taking classes at the local university while he works, recovers from his father's death, and spends precious time with his family here in Hawaii.
