Adam had just finished up teaching a class and was drying off and changing back into his daytime clothes and out of his wet and weary swim trunks and tee. That day, so far, had been filled with an early morning class, then a hop and skip back to the resort to teach a private lesson with an adorable little special needs girl and her older sister, as well. Then, he’d had a class of youngsters ranging from six to eleven. Today’s official lesson had to do with diving. He had them practicing a few techniques and had then let them have some free time before class was over. He enjoyed swimming quite a bit himself, and loved seeing the faces on the little faces as they completed there first successful underwater mission or beat their record, or raced their first lap. It was a great feeling to know he was sharing what he loved with others.
Adam stepped out of the pool area and was headed back to his room. He had a class in a couple of hours, but he had some time to grab some lunch and rest before review for class. As he passed by, he noticed the diner and realized he hadn’t tried it out yet since he’d gotten there. It looked like a decent place and had good reviews from everybody he talked to, so he figured he might as well. Adam ran up to his room to freshen up and get changed. He figured he’d go ahead and get ready for his class so he could leave after he finished up eating his lunch at the diner. He got to his room and slipped out of his clothes and into a fresh pair of dark wash blue jeans, a green Oscar the Grouch tee shirt, and his pair of silver, black, and red Nikes. He slicked his hair back and looked in the mirror. Not bad, he thought to himself.
Adam walked out of his door and headed down the deserted hallway, passing room after room. He heard a cartoon playing in one; romantic music could be heard from another. Finally, he got to the elevator next to a middle aged couple; the woman holding tight to a small white fluff ball of a dog. It looked longingly at him as he entered and he made small chat with the couple on the way down to the bottom floor. By the time they got out, Adam and the couple of laughing at the little pup as they separated ways; the couple and their dog headed outside the resort, headed for the nearby park. Adam turned on his heel and walked toward the hotel’s diner, a smile on his face now. He walked into the diner and walked to the counter, picking an empty bar stool to sit at as he took the menu from the waitress holding it out to him, smiling sweetly at her. Adam was about to introduce himself when the girl got called over by someone. Adam was hoping he’d meet someone new today.

Spencer swore under breath as closed her phone. She was too tried, and was still suffering from jet lagged. God, did she hate getting up early. It was too early for any business calls especially when she suppose to be on vacation. Spencer tossed her cell phone on the messy bed as she dragged her ass to bathroom of her suit. Spencer wouldn’t receive the key of her beach house until later tonight. She washed her face and teeth. Turning off the water, she looked up into the mirror and examined her face. Her eyes seemed alive and eager to start the day, smiling, it didn't surprise the 19 year old. Spencer could not wait to explore the island. She grabbed a towel and began scrubbing her face dry. She held the scratchy material against her face and sighed into it. Her eyes were slightly heavy from exhaustion, only getting few hours of sleep the night before.
Spencer exited the bathroom and headed straight to her suit case. She grabbed a pair of shorts, a simple stripped tank top and sandals. 15 minutes later she was dressed and out the door. Spencer slid on a pair of shades hopping no one would notice her. Her last tour like many others she done on the past was a major hit. Concerts sold out weeks or even months ahead of time. Spencer did love her fans but, sometimes wished to leave all that behind her. To live a normal quite live. No more screaming fans, or living on a tour bus months at time. She was sick of traveling. Spencer wanted to stay in one place for once in her life.
No one recognized Spencer as she walked down the hallway to the elevator. The doors opened to let a teen boy. She though he was cute but, a little young for her taste. She leaned against one of the walls of the elevator waiting for her stop. She shades slid down her nose. The teen eyes wided then suddenly he started to jump up and down. The doors open she quickly stepped out of the elevator. Spencer signed in relief as she headed to a hotel diner. Taking a seat on one of the bar stools. Spencer didn’t bother to look at the menus before ordering a coffee.

Adam was sipping the water the waitress had given him when someone sat down on another stool. He hadn’t decided what to order just yet; he was still mulling over the menu; a cheeseburger and friends or chicken tenders with potato wedges? Oh, the decisions he was forced to make. He looked down at his menu again and then at the people around him. There was a couple of middle aged guys in one direction. They looked like they were there on business, and not to have some fun on a relaxing vacation. Some people just need a vacation; too bad these guys didn’t seem to get that. Adam looked the other way and saw the girl who had just sat down. She was pretty, that was for sure. Adam cocked his head to the side, thinking. She looked a little familiar. Maybe she was just one of those people who look like they’re famous. You know those people who seem to look like ten different celebrities, all of whom look nothing alike? Adam looked away, back to the waitress who was moving about in the kitchen. He didn’t want to stare at the girl. He wasn’t there to scare anyone. Adam thought for a minute though and the glanced back at the girl. She kind of looked like the girl from that band. No, she just plain looked like her. If Adam was correct, it was her. He smiled to himself and gave an inward chuckle. Only after he moved to Hawaii from North Carolina, would he go from being a kid from a college of a couple thousand students to a guy who met a celebrity every week, it seemed. Adam thought for a second and then decided, why not? He took the chance and slid off his stool. He walked past the girl but instead of keeping going, he moved to the stool on the other side of her, but left it so there was still one seat between them. “Hi.” Adam said to her. “I don’t mean to bother you or anything, but” Adam wasn’t sure what the girl’s reaction would be to some random guy talking to her, so he suddenly chickened out and looked back at the menu in front of him. “um, never mind,” he muttered.
